TAKU Talk December 2025

The Spalding Royal Naval Association remains the only veterans’ association still operating in South Holland, Lincolnshire. This enduring presence is why the Association continues to play a leading role in supporting all military parades and services across the district, ensuring they are carried out with the dignity, precision and respect that our fallen deserve.

This November, Spalding RNA members were proud to attend a series of important commemorative events. These included the Grand Re-Opening of the Lutyens Memorial in Ayscoughfee Gardens following its complete restoration, the Springfields Tree Service and Parade, the Spalding Cemetery Service and Parade, and the main Armistice Remembrance Parade and Service at Ayscoughfee Gardens.

At this year’s Armistice Commemoration in Ayscoughfee, we were especially honoured by the presence of Major General Paul Maynard OBE of the Royal Marines, the fourth highest-ranking officer in the Royal Navy. His attendance brought immense pride to the event and to all those present.

The Spalding Royal Naval Association would like to express its sincere thanks to the general public for their continued support and for attending these parades and services to honour the fallen. We would also like to pay special tribute to the children who took part. Their involvement brings hope for the future and helps ensure that these acts of remembrance continue for generations to come.

On behalf of the Spalding RNA, our message to the community is simple: God bless you all.

Thanking you
