Business as usual

There are a number of services and objectives that South Holland Conservatives regard as business as usual.

• Weekly refuse and recycling collections
• Affordable housing for local people
• Continue to provide the best services for less money
• We will continue to be a low tax council
• Continue to reduce our management costs through merged and shared services
• To promote continued growth and investment in South Holland

Our Priorities For The Next Four Years

The priorities listed below are not necessarily in the order of importance

• To become financially independent of central Government. (A free Council)
• To be an innovative business orientated Council
• To further develop elected members' skills especially in the use of ward budgets
• To increase our percentage spend on looking after our streets and open/green spaces
• To work with our partners to deal effectively with anti-social behaviour in towns and villages
• To build new leisure facilities providing there is a sound business case
• To work with the voluntary sector and the promotion of the Big Society.
