Last Chance to Make Britain Better

12th April 2010

As the saying goes, time flies by much quicker the older you get and I now know just what this means.

I’ve been a District Councillor for one year and it seems like only yesterday when I was out and about around the villages of my Ward knocking on doors asking for people to vote for me. I’ve really enjoyed my last year as your District Councillor. In my opinion, I’ve achieved many things, I’ve done the best I can for my constituents and, hopefully, you are all satisfied with the work I’ve done.

But this all fades into insignificance because it’s now the Big One.

The General Election has now been called and, as you all know, it’s on Thursday, 6th May 2010. This gives all of the good people of South Holland the opportunity to vote and re-elect John Hayes as your Conservative Member of Parliament for South Holland & The Deepings.

I’ve met John on numerous occasions and have to say what a fanastic guy he is. We are very lucky to have a man with integrity and an overwhelming passion for local politics. I do hope that when the Conservatives win the election that he’s offered a top position within the newly elected Government.

I know a lot of voters are disappointed with their MP’s about their expenses but let’s remember that John Hayes, after this investigation, was whiter than white.

To repeat myself - John is an absolute credit to the Conservative Party and I urge everyone to vote for him so that we have a senior conservative politician looking after our local interests in Westminster.
